IES José Luis Castillo Puche (JLCP) hosted one of the final dissemination events of the ShiftVET project in Yecla, Spain, bringing the project’s results and practical experiences closer to its educational community.
The event brought together 36 participants, mainly VET students and teachers from the sector, and offered an opportunity to present the main results developed throughout the project and discuss the role of digital technologies in vocational education.
During the session, participants were introduced to the ShiftVET project, its objectives and the work carried out by the partner organisations in Spain, Italy and Latvia. Particular attention was given to the practical application of technologies such as 3D printing, 3D scanning and CNC machining within VET environments.
The event also highlighted the educational resources developed during the project, including the technology guides, training exercises, practical activities and student projects. These materials were presented as tools that can support teachers and students in integrating digital manufacturing technologies into vocational training in a practical and accessible way.
Given the strong participation of students, the event also served as a useful opportunity to bring the project results directly to one of its main target groups. Participants were able to see how digital tools can be applied within practical learning activities and how these technologies can complement the technical and professional skills developed through VET programmes.
Teachers attending the event also contributed their perspective on the opportunities and challenges associated with the use of digital technologies in training environments, helping to connect the project results with the day-to-day reality of vocational education.
The feedback and reflections gathered during the session will contribute to the final phase of ShiftVET and to the consolidation of the project’s Implementation Guide, which aims to support other VET institutions interested in incorporating digital technologies into their teaching and learning processes.
With 36 participants and a strong presence of students, the JLCP event represented an important opportunity to share the ShiftVET experience directly with the educational community and reinforce the practical dimension of the project as it approaches its conclusion.
